ProLipids Annual Meeting 2018

The 5th ProLipids Runeberg´s day-meeting was held in Haltia, Nuuksio on February 5th. This meeting consisted of a Minisymposium on Protein-Lipid Interactions and feedback of EMBO course held in 2017. We heard presentations from postdocs Tommi Kotila, Giray Engavi, Kohta Takahashi and senior scientist Johan Peränen. We also had some outdoor activities in bright winter day.

Pekka Lappalainen elected as EMBO member

Professor Pekka Lappalainen has been elected as new EMBO member. Total of 58 researchers in the life sciences, 50 of them from Europe, were elected and Pekka Lappalainen is the only researcher elected from Finland. Story on BI web pages

The third ProLipids annual meeting

The third ProLipids annual meeting was held in Herrankukkaro, Rymättylä, on February 4-5. Forty CoE members joined for the event. The programme consisted of one and half days of excellent scientific presentations, discussions and brainstorming. In addition to the scientific content, the programme included a fun and relaxing evening led by the host of Herrankukkaro.
